New FMC Rules on Ocean Freight Compliance for 2016

Webinar is Sold Out! To receive a complimentary copy of the webinar, please email sales@freightgate.com

Please join Venable LLP and Freightgate for a complimentary webinar on the new Federal Maritime Commission regulations that took effect on December 9, 2015. These changes will have a significant impact on Ocean Transportation Intermediaries (OTIs), including ocean freight forwarders and non-vessel-operating common carriers (NVOCCs).

The most paradigm shifting change introduced by the new rules is the introduction of licensure renewal requirements. In addition to the license renewal requirements, the Final Rule amends, adds, and deletes a number of other provisions in the OTI regulations. This complimentary one-hour webinar will highlight some of the key compliance changes and offer suggestions on how to navigate the new regulations in the context of your particular business and industry sector.

Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and will receive a copy of the presentation and other materials following the live event.
